| Over twenty years ago, God blessed us with the stewardship of this place we now call Shady Oaks, a vacation and retirement RV Park located in the Highland Lakes area of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. For this blessing, our desire is to honor Him and His will for this park and our lives. Our goal has been to make Shady Oaks a place where one can experience a little piece of heaven in this sometimes hectic world. The main focus at Shady Oaks is on fishing and the enjoyment of wildlife, nature, peace, and quiet. For the angler, Shady Oaks is a fisherman's dream - catfish, crappie, white, black, & striper bass provide unique fishing experiences for all ages. |

Shady Oaks is located on 23 acres, with 1700 feet of water frontage, just below Inks Dam on the Colorado River. Some of the largest and most beautiful live oak and pecan trees, as well as many types of flowering plants, cacti, and shrubs, provide a sanctuary for the abundant wildlife. White-tail deer roam freely through the park and birdwatchers will find a wide assortment of species to view. |
| The spacious sites at Shady Oaks were constructed around the beautiful landscape. All sites include full hookups; cable TV and telephone are available. We also have a state of the art water purifying and softening system, in addition to 24-hour live in security. Retirees are permitted to live in the park on an everyday long-term basis. Non-retirees are welcome to park their RV's long-term if used only as a vacation home or get away. |

Shady Oaks provides clean laundry and restroom facilities for all of our guests' use. Our newly enlarged and remodeled rec hall serves as a meeting place for camp potlucks, crafts, games, and our Saturday evening worship service. A family pavilion and campfire ring are also available for outdoor cookouts and gatherings. Our small office store stocks cold drinks, ice and some fishing tackle and we also have information and brochures about local tourist attractions. |
